The country in which it is impossible not to fall in love.
Someone on the 31st of December, goes to the bath, someone spends the summer at the cottage, someone goes every winter to warmer climes, me too, it sounds like a tradition once a year to ride in the canadian Rocky mountains. And this is a very good tradition because of great places there about a million and maybe more.
In my first trip, I flew into calgary, rented a car and traveled a couple of hours to the Park. It seemed to me that I’m so far away from home, you need certainly to see it all that is possible in four days.
Then I drove all the so-called Icefields Parkway – mountain highway connecting the two large national parks – Banff and Jasper.
It was very cool. Even if just to ride this road in good weather, without leaving the car, – will have plenty of experience.
Although I don’t know whether there are enough hard-hearted people who will never stop driving through the Rocky mountains.
At the time, I slept five or six hours a day in one of the hostels, and the rest of the time went, admired, photographed, in short, as always, tried to grasp the immensity.
I saw a lot, and somehow very much met in that trip bears, but still in the end was left with a disappointing sense of incompleteness, because the time lacked.
So last year I was smarter and limit the trip only to Banff. Well, the next, no less a beautiful Park Yoho, who was still on the way from the small town of Golden, where we spent the night.
Golden is quite far from Banff, but this time free of the hostels were already gone, and prices for hotels in the parks have caused a desire to make a trip mortgage.
In General, the trip was, predictably, shown that if you focus on a much smaller territory, it is possible to spend time much more interesting and most importantly – safer.
